You can sit comfortably in our sunny garden. It is a perfect place to unwind after touring the area and enjoy a glass of our local sparkling wine.
The swimming pool
Drink a chilled lemonade on our sunny pool deck. A good spot for sunbathing but if you are not the kind of people who like staying still, you can clock up a few laps in the pool.
Our swimming pool is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. from May to September.
“Troglodytes” are not to be missed, they are a staple feature of our region. While browsing along the Loire, you will see these picturesque caves which were dug into the cliff, to extract the tuffeau limestone with which castles and the house of Bagatelle were built.
Some caves have been converted into dwellings. You can live this “troglo” experience in our Jeanne and Charles bedrooms. A unique experience, because sleeping in a troglodyte is finding true silence again and going back to nature, to simple things and essential values.
Bagatelle is set in the heart of an unspoilt environment. We are sensitive to ecological and environmental issues and have taken a number of steps to respect our planet. We were awarded the international ecological tourism label Green Key in 2019 and 2020.
Preserving and maintaining nature is what we try to do every day, having banished pesticides from our garden since our arrival. Moreover, we have a permaculture approach in the garden and greenhouse, a zero waste policy, and we use local and organic products.
